Toniq

United Kingdom

The Toniq car originated as a design project by University of Huddersfield students Will Baxter, Colin Williams, Paul Philpot, and Angus Fitton. It debuted as a concept in 2002 at the Donington Show, built initially on a Westfield chassis. In 2004, Stuart Taylor Motorsport took over marketing and replaced the chassis with their STM Loco model, marking the car’s transition to a more refined platform.

Colin Williams later gained full control and established Toniq Ltd, collaborating with Derek and Tris Elliston to raise the car's profile. The project then moved to Cornwall under Adrenaline Motorsport’s management, followed by another shift to Caged, a chassis-making expert, which introduced a revised version at the Stoneleigh Show in 2009.

By mid-2009, Adrenaline Motorsport rebranded the car as the Adrenaline CB. However, following the company's closure later that year, the car returned to Toniq Ltd with Colin Williams resuming full control. Despite its many transitions, the Toniq car remained a unique project in the British kit car scene, characterized by its development through different hands, continuous revisions, and ongoing dedication to innovative design.
