Michalak

The brothers Bernd and Gerd Michalak began in Wiesbaden in 1980 with the refinement of Opel cars, including vehicles from the BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Chevrolet brands. 1983 also saw the start of development of a two-seater Spider based on the Opel Corsa. The car, known as the Michalak Corsaspider. The two-seater had a hardtop that sunk into the trunk. The roof, trunk cover and rear panel were made of plastic. In 1989, Michalak introduced a Buggy-Corsa called Topino with tennis-ball sprung seats, the car looked like a beach chair on wheels. Michalak also built a futuristic-looking sports car called the Cilindro with a Ferrari mid-engine V8. Michalak's Concisco also appeared in 1993 with a Ferrari 3185 cc V8 engine - without a roof, without doors, without a trunk. In 2000, Michalak presented a take on the Smart theme with a Ferrari-style grille and sporty engine tuning. The avant-garde kit car C7, adapted for the mechanisms and engines incorporated in the Smart Fortwo, a 0.7-liter 41-110 hp unit, has been available since 2005.
