Kuhn

Germany

Cobra Kuhn - Carl Kuhn Nachf. GmbH & Co. KG was a German automobile manufacturer that operated from 1985 to 1989. Based in Krefeld, the company produced replicas of the iconic AC Cobra under the brand name "Kuhn." The vehicles featured a plastic body mounted on a tubular steel chassis, and were powered by V8 engines sourced from the Ford Mustang. The engine options included 4900 cc and 5700 cc displacements, with corresponding prices of DM 89,000 and DM 108,000 respectively. Starting from 1987, the Phoenix-Cobra model was also sold by Classic Motors Design GmbH.

Despite a relatively short production span, Cobra Kuhn gained recognition for their recreations of the AC Cobra, a classic sports car known for its distinctive design and performance. However, production ceased in 1989, and the company's legacy is preserved in the small but noteworthy contribution it made to the automotive industry with its Cobra replicas.
