Achim Gorgus' company Prestige Cars GmbH started making Ford GT0 replicas in 1991 under a license from the English company GTD. From 1996 Gorgus also offered the Rush model from Mohr company. In 1998 Gorgus Engineering introduced the Dakota F1 Roadster. It had a tubular space frame chassis with an aluminum body. The car was powered by a 2.0-liter Cosworth turbocharged engine developing 350hp.
