Newly founded ELEGEND AG will produce the EL1 electric supercar from 2022 – as a reinterpretation of a historic rally legend from the Group B era.

With the EL1, the newly founded ELEGEND AG will handcraft a new, electric super sports car in a class of its own starting in 2022. The EL1 combines forward-looking technology with a passion for automotive racing and pioneering design.

ELEGEND AG as a high-tech company based in Beilngries, Bavaria, Germany, is made up of experienced automotive experts from the fields of design, technology, and sales. With its vehicles, ELEGEND AG will transfer analog primal instincts of emotional driving into the modern world.

Under the newly designed body lies a new carbon monocoque, all-wheel drive, a 90-kWh battery, and three electric motors. With an output of 600 kW / 816 PS, the coupé, which weighs just 1,650 kilograms, accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The sprint from a standstill to 200 km/h is achieved after 8.5 seconds, and the top speed is around 300 km/h. At least two laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife with record ambitions are possible on one battery charge. A fast-charging system with up to 300 kW DC ensures rapid recharging.

The EL1 will be hand-built and finished in a small series of 30 units starting in 2022.The price per vehicle is 890,000 euros plus VAT. According to current planning, the EL1 will be followed by two more icons of the same construction principle, also limited to 30 vehicles.
