Cizeta

  • Italy

The company was originally named Cizeta-Moroder after the founder Claudio Zampolli (former Lamborghini engineer) and Giorgio Moroder (music producer and finance provider). The car was designed by the Italian Maestro Marcello Gandini and the car made its mark in supercar history due to its mid-mounted engine. Cizeta used a V16 6.0-litre aggregate with 64 valves and capable of 519bhp. The car soon renamed V16T to signify the engine and transmission layout. The 2-seater coupe bodywork was in aluminium and was mounted over a steel chassis with aluminium and carbon fibre strengthening, plus all-independent suspension. A small redesign was made in 1992, but no more than 12 examples of Cizeta have been made in total. Claudio Zampolli died at age of 82 in July 2021.
