Healey by Caton will make its global public debut at the upcoming Salon Privé London tomorrow. Bringing a dynamic element to its static stand, the Caton team has confirmed that artists Jayson Fong and Helen Stanley will be creating art, based on the Healey by Caton, live from its stand.

Making it a global debut to remember, Caton as a brand will launch its first creation: an ultra-exclusive reincarnation of the iconic Austin-Healey 100 sports car, this week at Salon Privé London. Fusing traditional craftsmanship with OEM-grade design and engineering, the team behind Caton has also confirmed two live art exhibits.

Jayson Fong, the famous Australian photographer and artist, will be on the Caton stand Thursday 21 and Friday 22 April inclusive, using ink on paper as his medium to depict the Healey by Caton in front of a range of guests. Jayson’s style, which is very traditional and uses only black ink on white paper in large formats, will play into the heritage nature of the car.

Meanwhile, Helen Stanley will take a break from her TV presenting schedule to put her pop-art, modern style onto a canvas with a difference. Taking a copy of the Healey logo-inspired windscreen that Healey by Caton uses on the production cars, Helen has prepared the screen to become a basis for her modern, Lichtenstein-style pop art. She will be painting directly onto the windscreen on Saturday 23 April all day.

Guests will be able to meet the Caton team, hear the story of how the luxury coachbuilding brand started and with the help of its partners, Envisage, the strategic vehicle building partner, and JME Healey, the mechanical partner, make its first product, Healey by Caton a reality. The Caton stand, which will be open throughout the three-day Salon Privé London event, held at the prestigious Royal Hospital Chelsea in the Capital, will have not only the car, but a range of customer-focused paint, trim and metal swatches from the brand’s Colour, Material and Fabrics (CMF) team.

Discussing the event and partnering with the two artists, Tim Strafford, CEO of Caton’s strategic vehicle building partner, Envisage Group, said: “Caton as a brand is built on evocative products that are created by craftsmen and women who are leaders in their field. It’s an amazing opportunity to work with two very different artists to bring another dimension to Caton’s stand at the upcoming Salon Privé London event and do something that no other OEM or specialist has really explored before. I can’t wait to see what Jayson and Helen create, and I’m already delighted that they find pleasure in the Healey by Caton to create works of art based upon it.”

Launched globally last week, Caton and its first product, Healey by Caton offers a bespoke, one-to-one service that no other OEM or custom car manufacturer can provide. Customers of Healey by Caton become the design consultant of their own automotive icon, with the unique ability to indulge their passion for British precision engineering and luxury OEM quality craftsmanship within the CMF studios at Caton’s Coventry-based HQ.
